Local Associations in District 502
Approximately 842 IEA members work in District 502 which encompasses DuPage county. Each IEA member is part of a local association (aka bargaining unit) and has elected officials that negotiate an employment contract including wages, working hours and working conditions, maintain your IEA membership records, resolve conflict and communicate IEA news.
Your local association’s officials are elected by you and actively help your local run smoothly. Every local association has bylaws that explain the role of your elected officials, how often elections are held, how communications will be disseminated, and more.
IEA services three bargaining units in District 502:
COLLEGE OF DUPAGE ADJUNCTS ASSOCIATION (CODAA)
523 members make up CODAA comprised of all currently employed part-time faculty who can demonstrate employment in each of the three (3) education years prior to eligibility including at least twelve (12) credit hours of instruction in the two (2) semesters (excluding the summer term) in the first educational year prior to eligibility and employment in at least one (1) semester in both the second and third years prior to eligibility and all part-time Counselors and Advisors.

COLLEGE OF DUPAGE FACULTY ASSOCIATION
301 members make up CODFA comprised of all regularly employed full-time faculty members including counseling faculty, librarians, and coordinators, reference librarians, technical services librarian, coordinator of faculty development, coordinator of international education, employees whose positions are funded by contracts or agreements with outside governmental or private agencies, current faculty who are part of the bargaining unit and are subsequently transferred to a grant or contract with an outside agency, and full-time substitute faculty employed for one or more quarters/semesters.
